What Is Bio-Clean?
BIO-CLEAN is a natural drain cleaner, a special combination of natural bacteria and enzymes that digest organic waste found in your plumbing drains. Unlike harsh chemicals, BIO-CLEAN will not digest or have any effect on inorganic materials such as plastic pipe. It does not produce heat, fumes, or boiling-like chemicals. The bacteria are natural, not genetically engineered. The enzyme concentration is the most powerful we have found on the market. BIO-CLEAN is safe for people, plumbing, and the environment. For maintenance of your sewer & drain lines, there is no better product that we’ve found on the market! We love Bio-Clean, and so will you!

How Does Bio-Clean Work?
In nature, all animal and vegetable matter is broken down and recycled into plant food by enzymes and bacteria. BIO-CLEAN uses this same principle to biodegrade organic waste that accumulates in your plumbing system. Like all living things, bacteria must “eat” to survive. Fortunately the grease, hair, soap film, and organic waste are food for the bacteria in BIO-CLEAN. The enzymes prepare this “food” for the bacteria by breaking down the large molecules into a size the bacteria can “swallow.” When mixed with water, BIO-CLEAN immediately goes to work! The enzymes are very fast and start breaking down waste on contact. BIO-CLEAN contains billions of bacteria, and as they eat, they double in number every 30 minutes! Unrestricted by gravity, they spread through the plumbing system, devouring the organic waste.
Great for Septic Systems & Leach Fields!
Monthly maintenance with BIO-CLEAN is recommended for septic systems and leach fields. Most septic systems in operation today are not functioning well. Solids build up, and often the leach fields stop absorbing water prematurely. The number one reason is the vast array of household chemicals, which can inhibit and/or kill biological action. Chemicals, bleaches, detergents, food preservatives, and bowl cleaners can inhibit or kill bacterial action within your system. This lets solids accumulate in the tank, some of which flow out and clog the drain field. BIO-CLEAN can restore the necessary bacterial action and make your system work more efficiently. People on a septic system must select their cleaning products very carefully. Look for biodegradable and non-chlorinated products! With so many green products on the market today, they shouldn’t be hard to find!

How Can Such a Small Amount of Bio-Clean Be Effective in Plumbing?
Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links. Will It Work on a Clog?
If the material is biodegradable, yes. However, in most cases, the stoppage is not caused by a blob of something in the trap. Most likely, it is several feet of pipe that is filled with “gunk,” and it may take several days for the bacteria to eat through this long blockage. Therefore, it is suggested that a mechanical cable first be used to restore the flow. Then begin BIO-CLEAN treatments to remove any remaining waste buildup. Regular maintenance treatments will help to prevent new build-up.
How Long Will It Take to See the Results?
Some people notice improvement in a day or two. Almost everyone will see results in two to four weeks. Note: The cleaning process is not completed with the initial five-day treatment. The time is determined by the type of material the buildup is comprised of (grease, soap, hair) and the length of the lines. Hair takes the longest to digest.
Should the Toilet Be Flushed After Pouring Bio-Clean Into the Bowl?
Do not flush for 6-8 hours. The quart of mixture poured into the bowl pushes one quart of water and mixture out of the bowl into the stack. The enzymes and bacteria carried out in the quart leaving the bowl are deposited on the gook coating the pipe. In the following 6-8 hours, they embed themselves in the gunk so that when the toilet is next flushed, they will not be flushed out.
Aren’t Chemical Drain Openers Much Stronger Than Bio-Clean?
The strongest chemical in the world can’t climb the side walls of horizontal pipes. Gravity makes all chemicals run along the bottom. Nor can chemicals remove much waste in vertical pipes because they flow through so quickly. The bacteria in BIO-CLEAN are alive and will go anywhere there is food. They will remove the gunk chemicals leave behind.
Does Bio-Clean Contain Any Acid, Lye, Solvents, Perfume, or Poisonous Substances?
